DAV Sanskriti School opened its doors in Spring 1994 as Dayanand Arya Vedic School, named after the great Swami Dayanand Saraswati and illustrious Vedic Sanskriti (culture) of the Aryavarta. It was initiated by Acharya Praveen (Gulati) ji with the blessings of Shri Ram Chand Mahajan ji, at the old Arya Samaj Bldg of The Mehtas at Hwy 6N. The first class group comprised of only six children. Acharya ji started teaching Hindi and Naitik Shiksha to a combined group of children of different ages with sports activities by Kusum Vyas ji. Music class by Kamala Mahendru ji was added soon thereafter. The classes were first conducted on Saturdays. Within six months as more students joined the school, the Mehtas graciously obliged to shift school’s activities to their adjoining building on Sundays. A Provisional curriculum was prepared by Acharya ji for other volunteer teachers to teach classes due to his primary commitment to Sunday Satsang of Arya Samaj.

DAV Sanskriti School, since its perception has grown to the present level of 184 students in 2015-2016 session with a faculty of over 60 well qualified teachers, volunteers and Administration staff. A lot of activities such as Shlokas & Essay Competition, Debate Competition, Speaking at Podium in the Main Hall and Youth/DAV Fraternity activities have been added along with the updates in the curriculum to make our programs more attractive for youth with ever improvement on mind.

We are indebted to all of our past & present Teachers and Volunteers who have aided to DAVSS's growth.
